What you’ll receive

A written second opinion highlighting unclear scope, exclusions and allowances, payment terms, warranty questions, and practical questions to ask your contractor before committing.

Mike confirms the review tier, documents, deliverables, and turnaround before payment. Calls and comparisons of multiple contractor bids are quoted separately.

This is a review of the documents you provide. It is not an inspection, a replacement contractor bid, or a guarantee of local market pricing.

Proposal details & contractor questions

Get help identifying practical construction details to clarify before you commit. Mike confirms which document-review tier fits your request before payment.

Proposal details

Mike reviews responsibilities, disposal and cleanup, painting and finish details, materials, allowances, and exclusions. He flags unclear wording and work that may be missing from the proposal.

Questions to ask about your warranty

Ask your contractor to explain in writing: How long does the warranty last? What work and materials are covered? What is excluded? Who handles a claim, and what steps must you follow? Mike provides a question checklist; he does not interpret legal terms, verify coverage, or determine whether a warranty is valid or enforceable.

If you need help preparing questions about a proposal, send the documents and explain your concern. Mike will confirm the appropriate review scope and fee before payment; you do not need to purchase both services.

This service provides practical construction guidance and questions to ask your contractor. It does not include legal contract review, interpretation of warranty terms, or confirmation of coverage, validity, or enforceability.
